New Orleans – (January 7, 2009) -- New York-based social incubator alldaybuffet will assemble the world’s most creative entrepreneurs, mavericks and innovators in one room during The Feast: New Orleans on February 6, 2009.
More than just a conference, The Feast is a day-long, curated series of inspiring, mind-expanding, and cutting-edge talks that showcase a 360-degree look at social innovation. Focusing on inspiring action toward common goals, The Feast studies executions, strategies and concepts that have worked in areas from design to business to science and everything between.
Speakers from a variety of backgrounds will share insights on how the power of creativity can propel social change within and across industries. And, rather than just watching, attendees will participate in “matchmaking” networking breaks and group projects which facilitate connections and collaboration among this remarkable network.
Following the success of the October 2008 debut of The Feast in New York City, alldaybuffet co-founder Jerri Chou knew she wanted to bring the event to New Orleans.
“This is an exciting opportunity to bring together social innovators in a city that understands it best,” said Chou. “Bursting with culture, creativity, inspiration, drive and potential, New Orleans is the perfect place to bring together a cross-section of people and industries to explore creative solutions to social problems.”
Confirmed speakers include:
• Dan Cameron, Curator, Prospect.1
• Nicolas Perkin, Co-Founder & President, The Receivables Exchange
• Tamara Giltsoff & Rachel Simmons, OZOLab
• Heather McGrew, Vice President, Echoing Green
• Michael Karnjanaprakorn, Co-Founder, All Day Buffet
